About Climate Collections

This page is a repository of meaningful perspectives on climate from a variety of sources.

The collector is a certified meteorologist with a BS in Atmospheric Science and graduate studies in satellite and radar meteorology as well as a 30-year member of the American Meteorological Society and now a member of the nascent Open Atmospheric Society.

The collector survived the global cooling / ice age scare of the 1970s concluding through simple undergraduate calculations that CO2 was ineffective as a means to defeat the impending cooling.

Similar calculations show CO2 to be inconsequential as a driver of climate and not a causal factor in the recent, natural warming segment of the climate cycle.

  1. Just want to let you know that your efforts are much appreciated.

Instead of wading through the massive number of posts on climate-related blogs, your excellent service allows me to focus.

You do a great job of separating wheat from chaff.

    Thanks!

    1. Thank you Kent for the very kind words. I started this as a repository for my own use, and I am quite happy that others like you find it useful. I have fallen woefully behind on the categorization of the posts.

      My best to you!
      George
