If climate change under a second Trump term would spell disaster then it would be the first time in the past 550 million years that changing atmospheric carbon dioxide caused climate change.
There is no evidence over that time period (or any other) that climate change is correlated with changing atmospheric CO2. No correlation means no causation is possible.
Michael Mann is simply making a partisan political statement that appeals to the delusional believers in the need for a Green New Deal (which is more appropriately named the Green Raw Deal).
